Quebec – Day 2

Our second day in Quebec, was overcast but not raining. We jumped in the car headed toward Notre Dame Church, but GPS was trying to take us across the river when we came to some horse sculptures in a park along the St. Lawrence River. We stopped and photographed “bear” along with the sculptures. bird in quebec bear on horse in quebec horse in quebec

Then we gave up and tried to drive to the Citadel which is part of the fort which protected Quebec, only due to construction and one way roads, drove us in circles.  GPS no help.

Carol then found herself a park, with flowers and statues. arch near citadel parc de l'amerique-francaise in quebec

We are now on the ship heading to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.  We relaxed with a sailing day.  More site seeing tomorrow.

First Day – Quebec

We all arrived late evening into Quebec. It drizzled on us and we had this mural on the bulding outside our hotel.

First thing in the morning we hiked a mile up a hill to get our rental car.  Lloyd was trying to keep a smile as I said – more up??  We made it with little trouble.  We then drove back to our hotel and picked up Carol and Becky, and off we went.

Our first stop was St. Anne du Beaupre – Church which dates back to the 1600’s. Carol at St Anne Du Beaupre St Anne Du Beaupre st anne du beaupre-2

then we were off to a waterfall – Montmorency Falls, which are taller than Niagra Falls.montmorency falls

And finally as we headed back to board our ship – a floral.  More Quebec tomorrow.
