We spent the day sailing from Quebec to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Wonderful Northeast weather (rain/fog) greeted us upon arrival. We rented a car and drove through the countyside of the center part of the island, arriving at Green Gables House, in Prince Edward Island National Park in Cavendish. For those who have read Anne of Green Gables books this house resembles the one from the stories. We toured the grounds, with all the flower gardens, lovers lane, granary, and other buildings.
Before leaving the charming Charlottetown for the next leg of our trip, we stopped in a little corner restaurant for some PEI mussels and clams. Then off to Nova Scotia. But first a parting wink from one of PEI’s lighthouses.
